There is a visceral need for some level of interpersonal violence to be both legal and socially acceptable. More and more I am convinced that humans don't function properly without it.

They instinctively see man who isn't willing to get physical with a woman or isn't hard enough to bear the emotional burden of doing so as unfit in his role as protector.
If a man can't stand up to a woman how can he possibly withstand the aggression of another man?
A contributing factor to why society is so fucked up. On some level they need that option to be on the table, but the rules of our society dictate that such an option is forbidden from ever being employed. And so the world went mad.
Think about the evolution of our species; with all we've changed in the past century relative to how things were for basically all the rest of human history it makes sense that were now seeing countless problems.
Especially because we aren't even allowed to discuss potential negative effects from many things, like birth control or how feminized our culture had become.

The sheer amount of technology around us blinds us to how savage we really are, and to ignore that is foolish.
