Young Global Leaders is a program that the WEF runs, and the people on that list are those that graduated the program.
The people listed on the WEF's main website seem to be people that have interacted with the WEF in some form, such as written articles or participated in one of the conferences, or being on the board of trustees. Not everyone on the list has to drink the kool-aid as much as others, but the forum's founding purpose has not changed.
Sometimes I feel the WEF just puts people on their list of "Young Global Leaders" to fuck with them.
Other times, you can see those that clearly drank the kool-aid, like Trudeau.
