Yeah I know of 2 guys who got of lung cancer in their 30s. It's almost like it could have been easily avoided by ordering them to wear some kind of filtration device over their faces; too bad that technology doesn't exist, I'm sure the VA will be able to take care of them though.
There's a whole gaggle of others who were sterilized and/or have bald patches from the counter ied equipment too, but that's another story.

Those burn pits also have caused very severe, long term medical issues for the soldiers doing the work.
Which isn't surprising at all obviously.
