This has absolutely already happened, with American remakes of Asian stuff... But yeh, they haven't, umm, "reverse marketed" them, back to Asia, so much yet, so when they do, it'll be "interesting"...

It also ignores how much of a stink female soldiers in the West raised about not being allowed to pretty up, despite the obvious problems it would cause, to the point where they have slowly allowed it.
It stands for perfect realism women in those stories would be the same.
They seem to have missed all the pics of guys in harnesses and loincloths, as if that's somehow great armour. Thing is, when you have someone in full plate mail ... you can't tell what it is.

I have a gut feeling that they are going to start diversifying Asian movies, specifically Korean and Japanese.

Go watch Queen's Blade. It's in a fantasy setting and all the girls lose their clothes in many different ways.
