What does that mean? Is bitcoin illegal in some countries?
It is now in Canada.
What does it mean is illegal? You can't buy it and sell it?
You can't convert it to fiat if you're on the Government's shitlist.
Several countries and very much a grey area in many more including the United States.
It means that Ukraine is getting off the IMF's jockstrap and likely inching more towards Russia's sphere. If you on the IMF's dole, you accept dollars. It could also mean the IMF is falling under China's control (they've been working the IMF for a decade now) so Ukraine is going BTC as a hedge.
