The funny thing was the narrative switched somewhere along the way from two weeks to help "flatten the curve" so hospitals wouldn't get swamped, to "until we have 0 covid cases."
At the start I was for that whole 2 weeks thing. Especially since this was back around Feb/March '20 when we didn't really know the virus wasn't this awful no good terrible very bad thing. Remember, all we had was footage and rumors from China and all the leftists saying there was "nothing to be afraid of", paying attention to the coof was "sinophobic" or what have you.
By summer of '20 it was patently obvious the coof wasn't this apocalyptic thing the media played it up as. I think history will show the lockdowns were far worse than the disease was. I'm sure, in a future more concerned for actual truth, we'll find deaths resulting from the lockdowns will equal or exceed covid deaths. We already know they led to the deaths of thousands upon thousands of poor people in SE Asia. (Iirc I posted an article on just that a few weeks back)
