The dude saying he's not a publisher is full of it, though. If you pay a guy to be exclusive to your "platform," you're a publisher. As far as not exercising editorial control, that's kind of up to you. Some publishers do, and some don't. I don't see Spotify as any sort of supporter of free speech, and I'm sure people say nigger in their songs all the time.
