Honestly thats kinda just 1 facet of the problem. The chip shortage (last I checked, I could be wrong....but its also something that should take more than a year to fix), is the biggest offender. The miners only exacerbate the issue
You say that, but the market price tracks better with crypto prices than any other indicator... Chip shortage certainly doesn't help but in terms of raw sales, GPUs are up. This is mostly a demand side problem.

GPUs went from a pretty niche product for gaming and graphic design to a key component in multiple huge mining operations.
Of course there's shortages.
