OP, I feel you (I'm reading your other comments as though this is related to you personally) -- I broke away from this bullshit when it was still mostly just in Universities, and I didn't care to miss the 'friends' that I'd lose in the process.

There's nothing you could have done to save your friend. You need to rest assured in that. I don't doubt that she was groomed, but it sounds like she moved when she was an adult, so at the end of the day... she's an adult and made decisions.

The ideology we're talking about here is insidious. You now know better than most how true that is.
