The engineer follower, whose name currently escapes me, obsesses over the chief engineer on one of the hubs you go to. They're both female. If I remember correctly, the developers made it a point to emphasize the fact that your engineer follower is asexual. There's also an extremely obnoxious dye-haired black woman you can get as a follower. I wouldn't say it reached critical levels of "woke", but there were a few times I let out an audible "Shut the fuck up."
You are understating the issue with the follower's lesbian obsession. Its her entire personal quest, which is both the longest of all followers by a mile and makes you basically trek to every location in the game. All for random items to assemble a perfect date for her to be lesbian in, as being gay is her entire character development. And as she is your very first follower, you are likely half invested in her by the time it rears its head.
But besides her and most of the game, especially the first world, being a big capitalism bad theme its not unplayable. Just not worth playing over any other game in the genre who did it better years earlier.
Played the whole thing my dawg. With my retarded lesbian and bro priest shooting behind me as I beat people like a caveman.
While the option to be the corpo is there, the game heavily pushes it as the "bad" side. And considering everything else about the game betrays a woke mindset in the team creating it, it stands to reason they themselves do not separate capitalism from corporatism in the first place as most of those are known to do.
But the game absolutely doesn't push the idea that capitalism is bad. So much so that lesser merchants in Stellar bay are depicted as oppressed by the corporations.
Monarch is also a place where you can literally play it anyway you like.
I feel you never actually went beyond Terra-2. And completely misunderstood what Terra-2's story is, as nothing in Edgewater is capitalistic to begin with. It's all company owned and the entire population is just wage slaves who get rationned corporate packages as their only wages. There's no economy at all.
If you think the game is Woke and refuse to play it for that reason, you're robbing yourself a truly a good game. Just because an engineer is a lesbian ? A lesbian you can literally kill or ruin a relationship for if you truly just hate LGBT people FFS.
And really, you're on this site, pretending it's "Woke" to be against corporations ? Need I remind you of Big Tech and their censorships for the wokies ?
Like I said, I get the vibe you didn't even play the game at all.

Tell me you didn't play the game without telling me you didn't play the game.
The whole team is not "Capitalism bad", it's "big monopolistic corporations bad, but hey, if that's your schtick, go be a corporate guy".

I shot her dead when I played it. I'm surprised they let you do that, but it makes the game a lot harder not having her.
And ? You can completely make her life miserable if you want and ruin her relationship possibility and completely crush her spirit.
That's the whole point of the game, there's a bit of everything, and you're free to interact with it how you wish.
It's the very opposite of woke.
It shouldn't be there in the first place.
Why not ? Lesbians are part of my porn search history.
Because it's only there to promote Coomer culture, as you've just admitted to.
