I don't know why anyone would pay for that when you can get ad free Youtube with a free browser extension. There's also stuff you can do with a rooted phone on mobile if want to run it in the background, although I've never gotten around to setting that up.
Just FYI, you can have ad free, tracking free YouTube content if download YouTube Vanced. You don't have to root your phone, either. Can play videos in the background and a lot of cool features. I'm not 100% sure on their privacy stances, but must be better than Google.
"We route your data straight through China's government servers" would be more private than Google. You're setting your bar pretty damn low.
Ha! Fair point. I haven't done the research on Vanced privacy, so yeah...using Google as the bar is about as low as you can go.
