This is the level of action I would expect from my parents. You're a US Senator, Rand. How about (eg.) subpoena-ing records related to this decision to see if it counts as an in-kind campaign contribution?
If you think they "hate" you, why not use the tools at your disposal to fight back?
This is the thinking they need to be taking on it. It seems damn fishy that AT&T decided to drop the network just after Biden goes out and reads the message from his handlers stating that they want outlets to cut the news that they believe is mis-/disinformation regarding the Party Line.
It's like Cruz grilling social media executives about censorship in Senate hearings then doing nothing of substance. Meanwhile you have snakes like Warren threatening antitrust enforcement if they don't censor even more than they already do and shitheels like Zuckerberg and Dorsey use it as a pretext to take the purges they were already planning even further.
Fairly sure committees can subpoena stuff, not random senators.
Maybe he could convince the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations that he's on to do it, but he's not the chair and it's not really their wheelhouse.
Plus there's not much enforcement power either if DirectTV refused the subpoena or even if he found wrongdoing he could only refer the matter to Biden's justice department to look into.

Because that would actually be doing something effective. The Party can't allow that.

They're Senators not prosecutors.
