Well, we know what happened when the French emperor got too arrogant 150 years ago (Napoleon III, was it?), and challenged the Prussians to a war…

The Parisians under siege ended up resorting to eating zoo animals, and they “lost” Alsace-Lorraine… 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hence their bloodlust and frothing-at-the-mouth demands for the post-WW1 reich remnant to hand over all that territory, which, of course, partly contributed to bankrupting Germany, and later led to the rise of the Nazis…

But I’m sure you probably knew all that already!

French “leadership” arrogance never ends well for anyone. French OR otherwise… 😑
