Apparently they tried to pass some legislation in New York that would allow the government to just chuck people into gulags or otherwise detain them on a whim for having the coof. It got shot down, but the fact that it was even penned is cause for all involved to be ousted both from office and from this nation.

This brings a warm feeling to my heart. 11 years ago, it became official that New York was a dying state when their population had been shrinking between 2000 and 2010 enough that they dropped to 4th place in size. This is the end-stage renal failure death throes of a failed state.
