I haven't read this book but I don't believe China is at the heart of all of this. I think they are a player but western leaders are just as guilty and their loyalties don't necessarily lie with China.

I think China would be astounded, actually… Not at how pathetic and authoritarian Western leaders are, but at how EXTREMELY easy Western populations just rolled over and accepted perpetual “jabs”, masks and ongoing lockdowns…

More than that, though, even China, to some extent, has SOME mildly questioning media, at least in Hong Kong…
How on earth have we ended up in a situation where literally every media outlet backs “Teh Nu Normal”… Even supposedly “conservative” media, like talkback radio, Sky News and the fucking Spectator in the UK now back the omicron scaremongering…
How the fuck is that normal or acceptable?? How did we get to that point, where the media at large does not question anything..? That should terrify people, but it apparently does not…
In the 1800s we got Merchant Banking, Commercial Printing Press and Public Education... The rest is made-up history.
