This seat was a Tory stronghold so this result means many people went the way of the protest vote to spite Boris Johnson and his band of Tories pushing mandates and restrictions.
This is just what happens when political parties really piss off their core base of voters.
Boris Johnson actually managed to ruin the strong re-alignment coalition that the Tories created in 2019 by pushing terrible mandates and lockdowns that his globalist masters demanded.
They can’t even do basic, popular things like eliminating the BBC’s broadcast license fee or stopping the government from funding Stonewall. Either of those would have taken minimal effort and zero political capital but Boris seems incapable of actually governing like a conservative.
