Eh, maybe they're "haunted" but they're apparently way better off now than in the EU. It's unavoidable that there would be social or economic pressure to get them to stay, but ultimately they can still leave if it's important enough.
One big problem today though is that the EU (and to some extend the US) pays states money directly to keep them afloat. This money acts like bribes and discourages the states from pulling their weight to protect their citizen's rights. That practice would have to end too before states and the people have real freedom.
the only argument defenders of the eu could ever bring up was that you wouldn't need to wait at the border. the only argument for the euro was, lol now i don't have to take 10 mins to change money when going on vacation.
well the first one has already been succesfully dismanteled with the social-cred...i mean green pass.
and the euro being nothing but a tool of oppression is so undeniable i won't even entertain the idea of commenting on it further.
i have nothing about the uk leaving the eu. but my reason for it is because it is even more extreme than the rest of europe.
hatespeech laws, abolishing of human rights, unhindered illegal immigration of hostile invaders etc.
everything i hate about my own country and the eu as a whole is way worse in the uk.
ps. i know i'm agreeing with you, just ranting and venting :P
