Honestly I’m so sick of them bringing this up. History of the world is land conquest and tribal warfare.
Ancient central and south Americans were crazy blood thirsty. Hell, they still are.
They were bad enough that locals threw themselves at the Europeans to free them from the most oppressive and evil tribes.
Mexicans claim they own America because they are descended from Indians. All while speaking Spanish and worshipping light skin.
Honestly if they taught some global history it would go a long way.

it was white people who were the first ones to say "let's stop this, have an actual agreement on sovereign borders that we all honor, and cut it with the whole slavery thing."
to this day, border contests are almost exclusively in regions not run by white people. russia/georgia only gets media time because it's the only one happening in the white world. africa and latin america and the middle east have entire regions in constant dispute.
Thomas Sowell once asked why the people in the US who constantly talk about slavery that ended over 150 years ago don’t use their energy and resources to help victims of modern day slavery. I guess that answer is simple. It’s too much work to do that. Much easier to endlessly complain about the past.
You bring up a good point. I think it’s a shame so many people have zero knowledge of non western history/current affairs.
Only one ethnic group needs a 150 yr old excuse for sucking. Irish, Chinese, Italians and Slavs all doing just fine post-slavery.
I’m black and I’ve been beating this drum forever. Every ethnic group or most have been enslaved or suffered at some point in time. You can either choose to move past it or never shut up about it. I made my choice. Sadly many I know choose to be “oppressed”
