Because the public realized pretty quickly that 95 percent of the "anti Asian attacks" were actually just bog standard black crime. Just blacks being blacks, and attacking everyone they see. They weren't targeting Asians at all, they're just violent animals in general.

That's why they stopped talking about it. Can't have the rest of us noticing things, after all.
