If a Christian newspaper interviewing Christian priests doesn't think it's worth mentioning that the refugees are only drawn from the 0.1% of the population that are Christian, it's because they're not. Instead it talks about existing Afghan-American communities, and not the way you would talk about communities of German-American Nazis when resettling Jewish refugees.
How do you know that these aren't Christian Afgahns? I'd be willing to bet at least some are.
