It would serve us well to remember that the Republican party is not our friend and does not share our values. They simply happen to be in contest with our enemies to grab power. When someone from said party comes out with shitty takes like this, it doesn't represent them "not being a true Republican" and calling them a Republican In Name Only demonstrates the speaker's ignorance regarding what the Republican party is.

Don't project your own values onto the Republican party. Evaluate them for what they actually are and act accordingly.
