If I was to double guess, I would think that the one saying that is a black woman that believes that nonsense that Europe was full of black people and white people are just covering it up.

I personally think you should celebrate all cultures or none. Or, even more radical..... if you are interested in your culture or want to learn about others there are these things called books you can read to learn more. Plus just like Asian, African, and Hispanic there are a lot of different ethnic group under the "white" umbrella. To say we can't celebrate European achievements (that we all benefit from) is absurd.
