What about eggs. One of the most varied sources of proteins. Also has vitamin D. Milk irritates a lot of stomachs, babies can't drink untreated cows milk.
Eggs are good, but I wouldn't call them well balanced because they have almost no carbs (although since most of us eat too many carbs in practice eggs are better than milk). I would definitely recommend kefir over milk anyway because it is much easier to digest. With an additional source of vitamin c you could probably live on only kefir indefinitely.
e: It looks like if the dairy cow has a diet with grasses with vitamin c (such as citronella) cows milk can have sufficient vitamin c to not only prevent scurvy but also meet 100% of RDA for vitamin c if it were the only thing you ate, so you could probably live exclusively on cow or goat milk kefir as long as they had a varied grass diet.
But seriously though I've always thought it funny that we (me included) drink cow's milk. How did that get started? Like at some point in history somebody saw a baby cow sucking it's mother's teats and said "Hey let me get in on that."
It was no secret that mammals drink a mother's milk, considering that's what we humans do as well. So we just looked around in nature, found animals that produced a good amount of milk that we could harvest, and exchanged safety for milk.
Very smart people literally invented agriculture and deliberate genetic selections.

Absolutely. Selective breeding is a very basic, yet profound, technology to alter everything alive that populates your environment. Every meal is replete with crops and animal products that would not exist without thousands of years of selective breeding by people patient enough to say: "my kids will benefit from the next generation being a bit better than the last."
Of course, if you point out this holds true for groups of people...
I feel like this attacks people who probably have soy milk instead.
And strictly no one should drink soy "milk".
Whole milk is one of the most well balanced foods. 21% calories from protein, 33% from carbs and 46% from fat.
You ingest calf sustenance? OMG LOL WHAT A LOSER, do you also run around on animal toilets (aka grass)?
Do you drink horse hydrator (water) too?
You alt-right anti-vaxxers are hilarious. Now excuse me while I call someone with a penis "she"...
