The North was indisputably more affluent and developed, yes. A war with the North was the last thing the South wanted. They just wanted to stop being tyrannized by the federal government.
The North outnumbered them 2-1 and with all of their military infrastructure still came away from the war with far more casualties. Lincoln literally had to gulag journalists reporting on the war to prevent public support from sinking into the abyss in order to keep the war going. Had he not brutally suppressed free speech the Northern war effort would have come to a screeching halt due to the public realizing how catastrophically poorly the war was going. The North sold their soul to defeat the Confederacy.
The South lost. But they absolutely fought like hell.

I got the point. I was just addressing the original "meme".
I understand Democrats were the dominant party in the South until the turn of the 21st century. Thinking that has anything to do with the contemporary form of the Democratic party is simply misunderstanding history.
I acknowledge that the Republican party has become the premier party for advocates of small government. That doesn't change the fact that they're by and large all weak cucks.

It illustrates that their entire claim to morality is bullshit. The progs know that if they were to proclaim the democrat label itself to be malign, and try to rebrand, they would effectively just be ceding control of the DNC back to the 90's New Democrats that they've been fighting for party control since Newt took the house from them.
The Democratic party is strange in this way. They wield prog retards like a weapon. I think it's because that type of person is extravagantly weak and suckers on to whatever power center they can despite ideological differences. People like AOC absolutely wield no actual power, they're just there to keep the fucktards nodding along.
