On win forum he is your King and you have sworn fealty to him with only C being above
This is the essence of your point, and all I addressed.
Apparently it's a shock to you that somebody owns this site. That's not a king, it's mostly one person with tremendous foresight who developed the site to begin with in conjunction with a team that's mostly abandoned him. He also pays to keep the site running and you'll notice there are no ads.. He has to delegate responsibility especially as this site accommodates more groups. Whoever this Perun character is, he's been placed in a position unlike other mods. Want to call him a super mod? That doesn't fit but whatever.
He had to handle IP2's shit, and for 3 days that negatively impacted gaming. General remains ruined, many months later. You're a whiny little bitch when you should be grateful for what we do have here, that is entirely free to us. Is it perfect? Nobody has ever claimed so. Our main dev is currently working his ass off to vastly improve the whole site. I look forward to seeing it, as some maintenance has ben ignored to facilitate the transition.
I wanted to respond to the quote here. Mods on .win don't create the ... anything. YOU do! Mods simply keep things within bounds that YOU choose. It's impossible to create rules that cover everything. Judgment will always be required. We should be periodically asking what priorities, criteria, etc people want.
Implementing that is a compromise, meaning nobody ever gets what they want. Part of making this work is making mod logs public so people can see if one mod is off base. All (or at least most) mods should be replaced periodically to avoid burnout and increase participation, IMHO.
Mods can steer a .win down the middle of its stated purpose by stickying posts. Hopefully that's the biggest part of the duty and there aren't many reports.
This is an impromptu representation of the attitude .win mods should have. It's 180 degrees opposite from your quote, which sounds like Reddit
I know nothing about KIA or gaming .wins. Maybe you can take something here and inject it into the community and do some good? Also, modmail. I really don't understand how trust even enters into it except:.
doxxing. Actual, identify you IRL lose your job burn down your house doxxing, not the vague use of it I have seen from some mods.
stealing your work. I think the user agreement says anything you submit becomes property of .win or something like that but if you were presenting code and somebody took credit for your work and took your job yeah that would suck.
As always your main point is that to even question is to whine
Not at all!
But it begins and ends with 3 days, right? I addressed the question of why. And added the observation that IP2 has been problematic for .win; maybe not from day 1 but in 2 weeks. Nobody else has caused problems like them and you were affected. Were you affected for more than 3 days? I mean yes you had tons of their crap in view until that was pushed out of view by new content, but did they actually leave for their new shithole after the 3 days?
