It does slightly disagree with Fox's numbers, though I don't know how Fox is categorizing children, and Jackass's age data is only through August 19th. But, the point stands.
Under 12 years old: 2 killed, 24 wounded
Between 13 and 17 years old: 34 killed, 179 wounded.
Totals: 36 killed, 203 wounded for 239 total.
Labor Day Weekend is traditionally one of the busiest gang-banger shootout periods of the whole year. I wouldn't be surprised at all if 80 people got shot that weekend, though it would be unlikely for all of them to be under 18.
Hot weather holidays tend to go pretty terribly in crime-riddled shitholes. The part-time thugs and part-time junkies go haywire.
