It's called 4chan. For some reason, people think the use of the word there is new and is because everyone is 'racist,' when the reality is that it was used since 2006 specifically for shock value and to illustrate how absurd and stupid it is to get offended over words.
That pretty much explains the nomenclature of the chans in a nutshell.
I had a classmate who was working on doing this twenty years ago. He spent all of lunch working with a muslim kid to try to get all the theater kids to get over the taboo. If you normalize the word you remove a lot of its power, or at least that seemed to be his reasoning at the time. It always stuck with me as a good move for improving race relations by simply defanging racial epithets.
Already been done. Blacks say "nigger" all the fucking time. They call themselves niggers, and no, they don't do so affectionately all the time as we are led to believe, but with the same level of venom that they accuse racist whites of doing. Anyone who's ever heard blacks fighting or arguing with each other will know what I mean. They're not hurt whenever they hear the word, but they understand acting like they are gives them a lot of power, hence why the taboo for it is so strong.
Normalize NIGGER the same way we normalized QUEER
