Apparently two counties in Washington have summarily deputized all restaurant and bar employees to oversee the public health. I'm sure the 18 year old chicks delivering waffles to your table are absolutely qualified to determine the state of the customer's health before they'll be able to order breakfast. This is clearly the best method of containing virus particles from spreading; get the wait staff to certify the health quality of customers.
I couldn't stop laughing.
It was never about a virus
*Autonomous zones exempt.
Which counties? King? Pierce? Snohomish?
Wait, is that a real county?
Yes it's directly north of King County (where Seattle is)
Yeah, I've been here for years and still can't pronounce/spell a lot of these places. Sqakomish, Samamish, Sequim, Snoqualamie, it's crazy.
I still can't get over Humptulips
I've also been mystified by Steilacoom and Sedro Woolley, the first time I heard someone mention Sedro Woolley I thought they were talking about a breed of sheep. (I like sheep :)
I love Sedro Woolley. I nicknamed it the Shire because everyone there acts like hobbits and I half expect elves to show up.
Now pronounce Sequim.
I think they said Jefferson and Cle Ellum. Bodies must be piling up in the streets. Quick, call in the waitresses!
So two counties that are a whole lot of empty space. Surely compliance will be high.
Combined the two counties have less than 100,000 people, and the largest city is 20,000.
Yeah those counties are rural as fuck. I have no idea how they even passed that shit
I highly doubt the people in these areas voted for this...
What's the racial demographics of those counties, I wonder? Since vaccine hesitancy is so high among the black population, stuff like this could result in a sort of soft Jim Crow laws.
As far as I can tell, it's very white.
