So many people got used to being told what to do from higher institutions that many people, particular people from colleges and universities, seem to assume that anyone higher up in institutional authority from them is akin to a king or queen. It’s remarkably creepy that social media and public school basically made people just forget about how the rule of law works, which is one of the defining features of Western civilization and why it did so well compared to everything else.
