Whenever they would default to the Lolbertarian excuse "build your own... [insert entity here]" it was obvious they weren't on the side of upholding existing laws, standards, and rights. Because not only did people build their own competitive alternatives, but even those were shut down either by payment processors, domain hosts, or ICANN. Serious anti-trust violations were committed by Big Tech yet too many mainstream Conservatives kept using the excuse "muh private business" to justify the censorship and literal marketplace gatekeeping.

Even when news came out that every Big Tech sector engaging in flagrant censorship was doing so while using tax payer dollars (thus nullifying their "private business" excuse), many of these mainstream Conservatives continued to either ignore it by sticking their head in the sand, or deflecting. Alternatively, they defer to the courts, saying "well, you should sue", knowing darn well the average business owner affected by Big Tech censorship doesn't stand a chance in court against the likes of Google, Facebook, or Twitter.
