I used to be on thedonald, actually prior to here. Once it got around the beginning of the year it started to feel way too much of an echo chamber to me. I'm gaming and general nerd type on top of my worldview, so this was a good fit.
If I'm having to quote the approved opinion word for word just to be allowed to upgrade from insults to discussion, then that's not really discussion at all. I don't see a ton of that here unless the attempts at discussion are just really low effort to the point they appear more like a troll.
The folks there have never been the same since Nov 3rd and are pretty mean spirited to boot. It’s nothing like it was on Reddit. It’s either delusions of grandeur or black pills everywhere, nothing in between.
I noticed this shift. Can you speculate as to the cause? I did not go there often enough to know if the users changed personally or if the nice ones all left.
I’m sure Trump losing through less than reputable means is the cause.
