There's one thing that props up EA despite their fuckups and that's the amount of people buying their soccer game.
It's the only way to play a soccer game with licensed clubs, which makes it a monopolized market.
To kill EA as a corporation - you have to change that. There just have to be alternative soccer games with licenses for the main European leagues.
Otherwise, they'll just keep buying up anything they can with the FIFA money.
Would that actually work? I don't know much about about the types of people who buy EA's sports crap, but I get impression there's very little EA could do that would cause them to stop consooming their shit. From what I've heard filling the teams with trannies would be one of the less obnoxious things they've done to their games over the years.
I think it would work. The guys who play Fifa tend to be average guys who like soccer, this are not the same guys that are mount farming in wow or play lol every day. They tend to be of the live and let live mentality but also think trannies are disgusting, I also suspect a large overlay with religious people. So having a lot of trannies in their game would sign their death warrant.

Surely there must be some competition authority that can do something to allow other games to exist in this field.
It effectively lets EA control the gaming industry because it's a money printer that never has to be changed or managed. They can make a billion flops and still live off it.
People who buy sports videogames deserve to be taken for a ride as far as I'm concerned. It's the same game year after year, with slightly updated rosters, for sixty dollars.
If you're dumb enough to buy that, then to hell with you.
Yeah I'm not sure those of us that care spend any money with them anyway. I'd been looking through my games recently and I don't think I've bought a single thing EA since 2019. Perhaps late 2018. Excluding MoH Warfighter secondhand I bought last year for $3 IIRC. They just fell so far. NHL was an annual buy for me for a decade probably. They just got so super lazy since it moved to current-gen. It really was just a reskin. Why would I spend on that? They ruined all their series. Battlefield, Dead Space, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect not all that many years ago would have been buys in the first 6 months for me. Now they don't even blip on my radar because I know how horrible they will be.
But you're right, if FIFA and Madden were to die, EA would be up shit creek without a paddle. Apex Legends, is that theirs? Those BR games print money as quick as the federal reserve.

How the top comment posted, the best way to crush it would be to campaign to have as much representation as possible. Have girls play with the guys on equal footing, have trannies as players. Add some virtue signaling on top of all, about how representation matters and racism is bad - although Italy won vs England do to diversity, it was just the other teams diversity that won them the game.
The dudes playing the game would stop buying it instantly.
