Not really. I think I have yet to see an analysis of Macbeth that points out that he and his wife switch places during the play.
...yes. Later on she kills herself out of guilt. While Macbeth is initially very hesitant to commit cold-blooded murder, while later on he commits all sorts of atrocities without the slightest remorse. So they switch places.
