She's half-Japanese, what's the issue?
She self identifies as Black and not as Japanese.
Also she was not born in Japan, and "chose" to compete there instead of for the US this year.

She is the daughter of a black US marine, a colonizer. She is the physical embodiment of America forcing itself upon the Japanese, both culturally and physically.

They shouldn't have bombed Pearl Harbor now should they? She didn't ask to be born so you can't fault her for that.
