Google doesn't just suggest videos based on subscriptions, "The Algorithm" looks at what it thinks will get more watch time out of you based on what you've watched.

They don't care if you'll LIKE what you get suggested, only that you watch it.

I haven't watched anything political either.

My last viewed is all game trailers, I never use YouTube on the device this was suggested on for anything else.
