I can confirm that downloading the app from the telegram website fixes this 'issue'.
It's a line they crossed a long time ago, but this highlights how insidious it is that Apple and Google slip their own modifications into other people's software as part of their role as distributors.
I wonder if doing a diff between the APK files could give a clue on how they did it.
Critical thinking is an acquired and trainable skill. Removing "misinformation" from public discourse dulls the senses and makes it harder for people to recognize false rumors and propaganda.
(no I don't buy their reasoning for censorship in the first place, but using "protecting the people from misinformation" as an excuse doesn't hold water)
The fact this happened on both Apple and Google lead me to believe this was not an error or database glitch. Absolutely insidious and reprehensible behavior from both of these companies.

I just downloaded telegram from the site last week, but haven't used it yet.
As for apple, it's sad to see them fall so far since Steve. They have an actual faggot running the company now, and it shows. Unfortunately, they still make the best OS for computers, so what is one to do?
Are there people who support the genocidal Gates by using windows? I know some autists like spending hundreds of hours tinkering with linux to 'make it work', but I would go Amish before that level of torture.
Macs and the Mac OS are the only things about apple I support, and I can hopefully get one more cycle out of them.
