Critical thinking is an acquired and trainable skill. Removing "misinformation" from public discourse dulls the senses and makes it harder for people to recognize false rumors and propaganda.
(no I don't buy their reasoning for censorship in the first place, but using "protecting the people from misinformation" as an excuse doesn't hold water)
