Kia1 was slowly and organically turning into a right-wing forum. This was only natural given that virtually all incursions into gaming, as well as the pathetic state of videogame journalism, were clearly the result of radical left-wing infiltration and subversion. Every anti-gamergate pundit was openly some form of marxist/progressive. It was plainly obvious that gamergate was part of a larger and more important culture war being waged against us by the Left.
The mods of kia1, being crypto lefties and also polyamorous losers (literally), decided to "narrow" the focus of the sub to only videogames. They did this against the wishes of the community as determined by an actual vote, which the mods ignored. It became clear that they were enforcing this rule arbitrarily and selectively in order to prevent stories and ideas that made leftists look bad or conservatives look good.
So at the most basic level, the split happened because of censorship. You know the saying that any uncensored space inevitably becomes right-wing because leftism requires censorship to survive? Kia1 is proof of that.
Not even remotely the same. Talking about vidya, politics and weeb shit over here all you want without the banhammer hanging over your head, even if you shit on the mods particular political preferences.
Thou doth protest too much, you're clearly the one crying like a little fagaloon after getting pounded with hemorrhoids by your lady's bull.....maybe be faster with the snack tray delivery next time.
Easy explanation? The mods were egregious faggots that refused to follow their own rules, picked fights with the community, acted in bad faith constantly, and eventually made the community so miserable because they couldn’t force the community to share their opinions so they would ban hammer anytime they got butthurt.
KIA 1 mods are lefty fags and got ass mad that people were shitting on the left for fucking up video games (especally when people tied figures in Gamergate to communism and the Frankfurt school) while making excuses and crying "not my leftys" and people got fed up with it plus the censorship to protect they used to avoid cognitive dissonance and abandon the left as they should of while using the "off topic" and "unrelated" excuses to do so....Oh the mods also broke their own rules by picking fights, name called, threatened to ban and were general cunts if you hurt their feelings or disagreed with them, they also fucked everyone over in polls and just did what they wanted anyway then berated anyone who complained. Giant douche canoes, the lot of them.
Some people started identifying root causes and the mods didn't like that and squashed discussion. Enough people wanted to continue said discussion and a secondary community was formed.
The way I see it and I'm probably a bit wrong is that even among gamergaters for want of a better term, there are people take politics more seriously than others.
Some people believe in things a bit more deeply than others...I'll leave it up to you to figure out which is which.

But this wound up exactly the same way, so where’s the victory?
You're claiming that KiA2 ended up exactly the same as KiA1 and thus it was all wasted effort?
I rarely read something where I disagree with every single word that is strung together, so I wanna make sure I didn't misunderstand at all.

Uh… demonstrably false.
Demonstrate then.
lol, zero out of ten.
Hey DomitiusOfMassilia ban things raging faggot......10 bucks says he won't even though you're indeed a raging faggot.
Cry harder about being proven wrong, kiddo.

Piss off, subhuman. This place bans for politics. Period. End of story. Only acceptable leftist discourse is allowed.
We had a vote over what the mods could do, the mods ignored the vote.
Mods lied. People got mad, and abandoned ship, and made the true KIA.
