You can only say "we don't need you" if you are insanely successful. This is where comic books fail. Like how successful are these SJW pretenders? Can they actually afford this while they are broke and have no hope as it is?
Sure, they got socialised into this bullshit mic drop quip thing because of Whedon-talk and Twitter clapbacks, but those things only ever work if you have the power to actually do better afterwards. Otherwise, you just look like a mug.
Anime and manga is slaughtering cartoons and comics... and yet all the west does is double down, blame everyone else, and try to sabotage the competition.
Even without the offense of "I took your thing and fixed it, you children", it's just a boring ,generic costume. Nothing about it makes me think "Heavy Metal", just generic sci-fi. Also is the background color choice a bad attempt at the bisexual lighting trend that's gotten so popular?
Good post. Saw this on Half-KIA earlier, a link to Bounding Into Comics is warranted here because they covered more of mentally deficient PR manager and attempted damage control - https://boundingintocomics.com/2021/05/27/heavy-metal-magazine-mocks-fans-not-happy-with-new-armored-taarna-cover/
I hope they rename themselves Nu Metal in time before getting out of business.

That's not Taarna, that's I am Jazz in shitty Kahleesi drag.

I suppose Heavy Metal's fans should just count themselves lucky the artist didn't feel up to a niqab...
Heavy Metal is still a thing?
The obsession with growing up simply belies the fact that these people haven't.
