Out of the whole cast, the only one that actually needs "pronoun'd" is Desire, because they're supposed to be the embodiment of both male and female desire and as such they're both male and female at the same time.
The rest of that shit? Technically, "Johanna Constantine" is a legit character in the comic books (which was originally created as a nod to John), but she's not supposed to be the Ur-Hellblazer like they're making her out to be. Brace yourself for the "but everyone perceives the Endless as something different" argument when it comes to the race-lifted Death. Also, it makes me wonder how they're going to tiptoe around the whole "Rose gets pregnant by Jack" storyline, or the fact that Rose being black doesn't really fit into the timeline of her story arc.
Either way, it's a woke-fest shit-show, and yet another reason why I'm thinking about dropping Netflix after having an account for the better part of 14 years.
