But Anthropy's hope is that easy-to-use platforms can give marginalized gamers the chance to step into the role of designer and create a new generation of diverse voices.
Confirmed, "marginalized gamers" are too stupid to design games with difficult to use and complicated tools. Got it.
Virgil recalls receiving a lot of pushback from white gamers in the beginning because they didn't understand the need to create Sims avatars that had darker skin tones.
Standard women in gaming developing are underrepresented so is the fault of the patriarchy because this theory gives us the most power so we will not consider any other reason. Boring.
What I did find interesting in the article is that women being 41% of gamers seems odd, how come it drops from 50%?
From the same study, networking games, 34% of boys play daily vs 8% of girls, weekly 33% of boys vs 10% of girls, and girls make a smaller portion to begin with 84% of boys and 59% of girls. So 56% of boys play daily or weekly and 10% of girls play daily/ weekly. So 85% of players are boys and 15% of players are girls.
So while the article mentions 41% of gamers are girls, this includes phones ofc, only 15% of players that play networking games are girls. While a lot more then I expected still overwhelmingly most online players are male. And I expect that most of the girl online players play games like Among Us.
This article again. Seems to happen every 3-5 years. They will fail every tournament they get involved in (unless they change the rules in their favor which they might) and then fade into obscurity and then in a few years we will see another "how this totally new and different all girls team is pun pun pun"
"Anna Anthropy" is male, so if their definition of "woman" includes biological males then it's already filled with women!
"These seven female supremacists are going to ruin your fun, filthy white males."
Fixed it for you.

I'll take things that didn't happen for 1000.

nobody wants them
everybody hates them
why don't they just die

Excuse me, WHO?!
There's a reason that I haven't bought a game in years. More and more that come out today are trash.
Only 7? Those are rookie numbers.
