Head mod Ham Sandwich is banning anyone who criticizes how he applies the "no racism" rule.
About a week ago, Ham stickied a thread reminding users about the no racism rule. Everyone was like yeah no shit just do your job and remove any racist comments and leave the rest of us alone. The thread was a shit show as you'd expect and Hammy got his feelings hurt.
I received a permanent ban yesterday without any explanation. I called him a shit head (not directly, just in response to someone else saying he doesn't think Ham has bad intentions) because he took a few random racist comments and posted a screen shot of them next to a PPC logo on Twitter. He added the PPC logo himself to smear the growing political party. The racist comments were all one liners and half of them were probably posted by Ham on alt accounts. None of them had anything to do with the PPC or PPC supporters.
Purposefully smearing millions of people like that makes you a shit head and I said as much.
But since this is tangibly related to the "no racism" rule discussion, he went straight to a perma-ban.
I'm not even Canadian, but I migrated to Omega after the meta Canada subreddit closed by the same head mod who started OmegaCanada.

Ham has been extra butthurt lately because he sees that his beloved CPC party is no different from PM Blackface's Liberal party, but he can't admit it out loud. He's mad that PPC support is growing and he's lashing out on various ways.

He is merely pretending to be fighting racists.
Ham is fighting racists the same way reddit does - by banning anyone who disagrees with him politically or who supports the PPC.
He simply says if you support the PPC you're a racist who needs to be banned. His "meme" which states "PPC = racist" is still stickied because he can't get a single updoot.
His control of OmegaCanada is just a way for him to suppress political discussion he doesn't like. If it were about racism he would simply remove and ban racist commentary. Instead, you see Ham constantly spamming his conspiracy theory that the PPC is responsible for all racist content on .win. It's really quite obvious that he has an outspoken hatred for the PPC.
He is banning anyone who disagrees with his flavour of conservatism and labeling those he's banned as racists. Of course, he provides no evidence, no proof, no substance and gives no opportunity to disagree.
He's a cowardly propagandist who personally supports the CPC and will do literally anything to slander or libel the PPC and its supporters.
He also spends most of his days on Twitter trying to show that the whole .win network is racist, conveniently ignoring the fact that we know any non-liberal social media site is brigaded by authoritarian twats who post illegal content to try to get it shut down. Ham is sabotaging the entire network.
His attitude of the last month has cemented my longstanding suspicion that he is more than just a CPC supporter, he works for them. PPC is a major threat to their powerbase, and he knows it.

Same. I've literally only called a black person a nigger once, when he/she (it was impossible to tell, it was a fucking freak) was extremely racist towards everyone else. And it got me banned off of Twitter. And this is how you create racists.
Unless they are acting extremely nigga like. That's the problem, most "slurs" aren't based on pure identity, but a specific type of that identity. Chris Rock said it perfect 20 years ago, and he can't unsay it no matter how much he wants to.

Just adding to the conversation, me and my friend actually use nigger as a kind of verb and will say it about whoever. Usually for exceptionally petty theft. Like we had some faggot take our stuff out and steal our cart at the store one time, described it as "niggered our cart".
I'm fairly certain he is the origination of that phrase. At least in that format.
I'm from the Dirty Louisiana South and its basically how everyone thinks of it. Very few white people hate all black people. But they have extreme words to say about niggas. Heck most black people have extreme words to say about niggas because nobody actually likes them.
And yeah, me and my best boy call each other every slur in the book out of affection, and will describe actions in the most offensive ways possible.

This is how you know we have made it as a site. We are powerful enough to emulate the reddit mod faggotry.
Also anytime you're being called a racist or bigot or whatever, you are probably on the right track and should continue on. Rarely does it mean anything else.
There is a saying that's always been a favorite of mine.
I'm not a member of that community, but you or anyone else there should probably start gathering evidence in case the matter needs to be brought to an admin. I didn't think such a thing would happen quite this soon, but if it's really going down like you say, it's about time for the admins to be tested.
If the admins do become involved, I'd expect some kind of satisfactory outcome because they do not want to get the kinds of PR stains that reddit has.
I think the site and his own posting history are all the evidence needed at this point.

Ham is almost certainly on the payroll of the Conservative Party of Canada, who finance him in order to run a forum that's friendly to the CPC. Reddit's rules were being so unevenly applied by the admins, especially regarding the Canada subs, that metacanada became untenable on reddit, so they moved here.
The problem is that the CPC, especially under it's current leader, has become indistinguishable from Turdeau's Liberals, and so is useless as political opposition and unlikely to ever win another election as its supporters abandon it in droves. This has created a situation where any non-leftist Canadian forum becomes dominated by conservatives who are disillusioned with the Party, and now Ham is probably feeling pressure from his employers to purge them.
Additionally, he's probably freaking out over Bill C-10. There's very little actual racism on omega that I've seen, but there is a lot of anti-immigration sentiment, and that will likely be used by the government to get the .win blocked in Canada, and again, there goes Vegan_Beyond_Meat_Ham_Substitute_Sandwich77's paycheck.

There are some handshake accounts defending him that use the exact same phrases. Like he's not even rational enough to change even his wording.
The mods on r/metacanada were always out of touch with the base that actually used the sub. Uber juvenile memes about each other, stickying their own posts, trashing on anyone they disagreed with. Ham was the worst of them, and I don't even know if he actually had full control of the sub before he got control of the .win.
Once they migrated to .win, the handful of mods that came with him pretty much went silent and I think he's been running the place entirely on his own. Brought on a new mod not to long ago, but that mod just quit due to all this stupidity.
The most benevolent assumption is that the last year has been too much for his personal life and he's lashing out the only place he feels he has power to do so.
