Predictably, the opinion piece has been lambasted online for being ‘woke’ and daring to question why an animated show couldn’t be more inclusive.
I'm just sure that it was lambasted for "daring to question" and not any legitimate reason like the idea of "dogs of colour" being completely fucking ridiculous.
"Dogs of color," or unhinged rottweilers chained up outback in a dirty, unclean yard, and a small chainlink fence that dog could definitely jump over if it tried.
If they want more diverse canines, they should add a Rhodesian Ridgeback to the show, and have a specific theme song play for him. Or is that the wrong kind of diversity again?
Bluey is just a kid's cartoon obviously, but it's such a different kid's cartoon because you can tell the writers aren't dangerhairs or diversity hires. For instance, dads in it aren't painted as complete bumbling idiots. Even when a dad is "Dorky and nerdy", he manages to figure out how to better apply his unique strengths to things. It's got pretty decent threads on /co/ when they pop up.
I think those dogs are usually the first ones to get put down.

What a stupid time to live in.

That weird episode where Bluey might be like schizophrenic or something was kind of brilliant.
I like the dad and is one of the few cartoon I can watch with my daughter. I hope they do not fuck it up.
Dogs of color???
It's a show about fucking dogs so nobody is getting represented
