I think a lot of people here are missing the context of how the U.S. used draftees the last time there was a draft. Contrary to the bullshit and propaganda put out since the 60s, draftees into the U.S. armed forces were almost entirely put into support roles and many never even deployed to Vietnam. The U.S. military uses draftees to free up people who voluntarily enlisted to serve in combat roles instead. The old trope that Johnny gets drafted and a month later he's slinging a rifle in Nam is made up leftist nonsense.

So to that end, could a female serve as a dental tech or paralegal and the male who would otherwise fill those roles could fight instead? I think so. Women should be under the same societal obligations as men in order to be eligible for the same benefits that men have.

Having said all that, women have no place in combat.
