Oh, but the poor repressed senator's daughter wanted to sleep with that slutty airman who would fuck anything with tits. That was emotionally investing, right? What about the schlubby guy who wanted to fuck her, then a scientist, then the marine, then the repressed senator's daughter again? Emotional complexity!
It was a darker, character drama driven sequel series to two lighter, comedic adventure series. Basically going from a monster of the week type formula to love triangles and "is there god?" type drama.
Not sure if action movies are your thing, but a couple of movies that look ok (i.e. woke free) from the trailers:
Wrath of Man - starring Jason Statham, directed by Guy Ritchie
Nobody - starring Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul)
anything created in our time will be Progressive Death Cult programming and grooming. It's all gynocentric, egalitarian, progressive trash. these are the values of the cult that create all of our media.
When they hear our Songs Of A Distant Earth, they recoil in fear and hate. Hard sci-fi in anathema to them. Sci-fantasy has always been woke trash, just the different "wokes" of the eras they were written in.
If you're on desktop it will auto-highlight and go to the relevant section:
Ars Technica: Zac's actions demonstrate the power of manipulating with misinformation. That resonates particularly strongly these days for obvious reasons. But it's fairly universal in human beings: even though we love our freedom, we are very vulnerable to that kind of manipulation.
Neil Burger: I think we're understanding that more and more. When I wrote the screenplay, it was years ago, and I was obviously aware of that happening in our society and other societies. I was writing it as a cautionary tale. In the last few months, it's become something completely different. Fear is a big theme and a major issue in the movie: how a leader uses it to manipulate his followers and maybe even drive them to mob violence. It all raises questions about how a society can function—about selfishness and self-sacrifice. That's the foundation of the conflict.
Yea, no thanks. Even without woke trash this alwasy turns into bullshit teenage drama. Looking at you Stargate Universe!

Just poorly written shit. Nothing interesting, characters you wanted to see die horribly that somehow survived despite the odds.

I’ve reached a point where I don’t even bother with new movies, books, or tv shows unless someone I trust recommends it
I get free cable with my condo and found 4 channels dedicated to playing older TV shows ranging from the 50's to the 90's. It's pretty great.
Yea where I live there are like 6 free digital channels that play older tv shows. Love it.

In theory, this doesn't mean it's Woke. These are universal themes that aren't necessarily partisan.
In practice, it will almost certainly be "Orange Man Bad, Socialists Good."
Isn't it always?
Their freedom.
