Now how about you do something actually useful like sign an EO banning vaccine passports in Texas.
I am with ya there. 100% Put it on the docket as legislation for the upcoming emergency session (there is almost always one called). An EO is a good start, but getting it codified would be even better in my estimation.
I was actually going to send an email to his office and all my representatives asking for the very same.
Worst it could do is nothing.
Already have. It's a blackhole, but even politicians stare into the abyss sometimes.
Send a physical letter, they pay more attention to those.

I definitely understand feeling that our “representatives” don’t feel like they have to represent us, but rather lord over us and enrich themselves.
However, as a counter to that, one thing the radical left does well is they make themselves heard, disproportionate to their actual numbers. Meanwhile, the moderate masses and the right wing typically just sit on their asses and react to change.
1 million voices is hard to ignore regardless of where it comes from; it’s time for the right wing to make those voices ours. And it starts by making an earnest attempt to work through their channels and contact our reps.
While I'd like to see tons of states push back on this, in the end it's up to us to make sure our friends, family, and community are educated on this issue, and to completely refuse the vaccine and passport.
Since it's not happening yet, I don't see the urgency in issuing a flimsy executive order.
Yes, please.
On the plus side, there's a bill in the Texas Senate (SB1669) that would pretty much make vaccine passports useless. As long as I'm interpreting "public accomodation" correctly. However, it still has to be voted on, pass, pass the house, and get signed. I think it will, but the passport thing might be in full swing by then.
It truly is a race.
