MLK jr. was a huge psyop for middle class americans. They said "Look black men can be suit wearing christians too!" and then killed him off to make a martyr.
This was just used to make "segregation" something universally bad, with Rhodesia and South Africa being used to try and teach the world the lesson that you are not allowed to have a working modern caste system with just white europeans in power.
This is something I've been thinking about for awhile. Is it possible to have a stable, long-term caste system in society that doesn't devolve into rebellion or war? I know in modern terms the fall of Rhodesia and South Africa were primarily caused by outside influences, but I'm talking in general.
India's caste system lasted for an extremely long time. It was only recently that they had to criminally punish people still holding to it. Of course it still had intermixture and changed over time, but it had good staying power.
Every system will have it's own "castes" of a type, the only difference is how visible they are and how easily people can move between them.
Actually Barkley criticized the “acting white” accusations in the black community and said black ppl are some of the most stupid for criticizing education. I’m black and have been beating this drum for years.
Barkley probably wants a return to the colorblind idpol ceasefire of the 80s and 90s. He’s not wrong. The only alternative for a “diverse” society is ever-escalating sectarian violence.

The saddest thing is that this that this should be obvious to everyone just by glancing at ongoing ethnic and religious conflicts around the world, and dismayingly so as soon as one looks at the history books.
Wherever there is diversity, there will be serious internal conflict if those groups cannot find a common identity. Minority populations get deported or genocided out of countries over and over again in history. It happens all over the world, and the trouble inevitably begins with segregationist attitudes every single time.
You can blame the politicians that enabled the Civil Rights act in particular.
It took a lot of footwork to make the CRA popular. It's a problem that should be viewed holistically.

Progressives had to use the force of the state to discriminate against Brahmans and break the caste system. It's the Kali Yuga.

Barkley has criticized that plenty. Pull your head out your ass
