Great article! Hard to believe it came from Newsweek. Even more so since I thought they went out of business.
So many ignorant people love to rag on petroleum but it has revolutionized life on earth for the better. And don't get me started with electric cars. Iirc the best batteries have an energy density 1/40th that of gasoline. Wishing something is true doesn't make it so.
So true. It really describes lefties of all types. Communism and socialism. Really, anyone that believes government is a net positive force. It extends even further really, as self-delusion is a characteristic of human nature. Always has been and always will be.
And beneath the surface, every leftist cause is Marxist/communist. Environmentalism, postmodernism, progressivism - all fronts for the Marxist assault on Western Civilization.

The effective difference is closer to 1/10th, because an electric motor is far more efficient at converting battery charge into motion (and can convert some of its motion back into battery charge) than an internal combustion engine is for petrol.
Yeah, I hear the Model S can go 0-100 (kph) in like 2.1 seconds. Which is great, except if you ever even think of doing that, your range will drop by 50%. Which is why, every time I see a Tesla on the highway, it's doing 90 kph in the right lane sandwiched between trucks, usually riding some truck's ass to lower aerodynamic resistance and save every little bit of energy it can. Imagine paying >100k US dollars for a cuckmobile like that.
I'd buy the guy who ran that mock awards show a trophy, but I doubt he'd have any place to store it because it probably takes half his house just to shelter his massive, titanium balls.

Green policies in a nutshell.

They didn't seem to like government under Trump.
Leftists believe in power. That's it.

Don't worry, electric cars might be much more expensive than ICE cars, but they're also vastly inferior!
Except in terms of acceleration where they are superior. Electric motor go brrrrrrrrrr!
