Yep. I’m not perfect I fell into that mindset when I was laid off and blamed my misery on the company but ignored my horrible spending habits. So yea victim mentality is poisonous. Any country that encourages it won’t be around much longer.....
Thomas Sowell was a Marxist until he worked for the government. It’s easy to believe that you can’t achieve because it excuses your current state, what’s difficult is acting to change your state. When Sowell worked for the government he realized two major thing, one, that Milton Friedman was right in government organizations only acting to expand their size, and two, that government is not interested in solving the problems of the people but exploiting them for political gain. If Democrats helped black people they would lose their political collateral, same reason they love illegal immigrants. Republicans are no better, they pretend to fight for the constitution with all the pageantry and flair, but all it took was a moderate Democrat (Trump) who gave a fuck to actually make massive results. As you can see though, Trump violated the 2 observations of Sowell and Friedman, so he had to go.
Very true. I love reading Sowell and Friedman. I’ve long said if you want to help poor communities of all races why not encourage business in that area, introduce trade schools, and stop the “cops are the enemy” mentality. Yes hold cops accountable but the media loves stoking the flames
