Boo hoo.

The Catholic Monarchs were heroes for kicking Islam out of Iberia. But it was Ferdinand, not Isabella, who led the armies.

Married queens were around 27% more bellicose than their male counterparts.

I am not sure the sample size is in any way impressive, but OK.

I'm not knocking her. She kicked out Jews, too. That whole inquisition thing was a bit fucked, though.

But yes, the sample size is small. We're talking about an anomaly. What data we have suggests it should remain an anomaly.
